I FINALLY SAW A MOOSE! Two, in fact. And then I was initiated into their herd.
They were as close to me as the ditch is to the road, all the while I was wondering what it would look like if one of the two moose decided to charge my car.
One stood in the road for a bit. Looked at me for another bit. Then sauntered to the other side of the road. I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere about why the moose crossed the road but it didn't look like this one had much of a plan.
Finally, as I inched along, one moose on either side of me, I tried desperately to document the moment. However, of course, my six year old, one-foot-in-the-grave camera decided to be a diva and refused to work in the low lit conditions.
And so here we are. Reminiscent of pictures of big foot in the Berkshires here is the unarguable proof that I actually saw a moose.

The View from the Mountain
I went snowboarding for the first time since I got here! And I forgot how much I LOVE it!!
I also learned how awesome Winter Park is.
I had a great day with Savannah who pushed me to learn moguls and go through the tree paths.
I then realized that I couldn't remember the last time I had my board waxed or sharpened. So....that's what I did today.
And the lady at the board shop called my board "old school." And that she hadn't seen bindings like mine in a LONG time.
And then I tried to remember how long I had had it. I came up with 8 years.
I decided there's no turning back now. I am in a committed relationship with my snowboard.
