The View from the Mountain

I went snowboarding for the first time since I got here! And I forgot how much I LOVE it!!

I also learned how awesome Winter Park is.

I had a great day with Savannah who pushed me to learn moguls and go through the tree paths.

I then realized that I couldn't remember the last time I had my board waxed or sharpened. So....that's what I did today.

And the lady at the board shop called my board "old school." And that she hadn't seen bindings like mine in a LONG time.

And then I tried to remember how long I had had it. I came up with 8 years.

I decided there's no turning back now. I am in a committed relationship with my snowboard.

The 36 Gallon Milk Run

The best part about this day was that the fact that though we basically bought Safeway out of their entire supply of 2%, this wasn't the weirdest thing even within the hour.

In hindsight, I really regret not taking pictures of the following two things:

1. Driving into the parking lot, we happened upon a car that looked like it was accosted by a second grader with an impressively long attention span. There were Barbies and a random assortment of figures glued to the hood, trunk, and roof. Not to mention it looked like it had been finger painted, on top of which the front door was literally hanging off it's hinges. As the icing on the cake, it was from Alaska and had a bumper sticker that said "Sarah Palin eats poop."

2. After having loaded our 36 milk jugs into the camp van, we noticed the car in front of us was sporting none other than A LIVE CAT ON THE DASHBOARD. Did you get that folks? There was a cat just chillin smack in the center of the dashboard of a totally normal looking vehicle.

Thursday was apparently the day for crazy to converge in the Fraser Valley Safeway parking lot.
